Herald Point, a 60 m high vegetated headland, lies 2 km to the southwest, with beach WA 388 located on the eastern side of the point. It a 350 m long southeast-facing beach bordered by sloping granite points and backed by a scarped 20 m high foredune, with several 4WD tracks reaching the rear of the dune. Waves are lowest in the west where the beach is reflective, increasing to about 1 m at the western end where they maintain a narrow bar.
