Beach WA 391 is a 1.8 km long, south-facing beach bordered by Herald and Ledge points. The beach receives waves averaging just over 1 m, which break across a discontinuous intertidal beachrock reef. The reef and wave combine to form a mixture of reef-controlled rips, a central reef-bound lagoon and a western section of sand beach. The beach is backed by a 20 m high scarped foredune, with generally vegetated transgressive dunes extending up to 1 km inland and climbing up to 100 m up the backing slopes. A large climbing blowout is located towards the eastern end of the beach. There is car access to the crest of 30 m high Ledge Point where the car park provides views of the beach.
Beach Length: 1.8km
