Beach WA 348 is located another 6 km to the southwest, 1.5 km west of Ledge Point and its reef system, called the Giants Causeway. Rocky points backed by steeply rising slopes back either end with valley sides rising to 90 m to the rear and a small creek that breaks out across the centre of the beach. The 600 m long beach faces south and is exposed to high waves averaging about 2 m. These break across a 150 m wide surf zone drained by permanent rips to either end, with a very prominent and strong western rip (Fig. 2.9b). It is backed by an unstable foredune, then an active dune that is climbing up the 120 m high eastern valley side. Older Holocene dunes have previously climbed the slopes and transgressed 1 km across the rear of Ledge Point. A vehicle track runs along the top of the backing slopes and winds down to the western side to the beach.
Beach Length: 0.6km
