Quarry Bay (WA 619) is located 200 m to the north and is a U-shaped, west-facing bay, from the shores of which rock was quarried for the lighthouse. The bay is 200 m across at the entrance with the 250 m long beach curving round the back of the bay. Waves break over granite rocks and reefs strewn across the mouth resulting in low wave to calm conditions at the shore. A gravel road, off the Skippy Rock road, leads to a car park at the back of the beach. This beach is usually suitable for swimming so long as you stay clear of the rocks.
