Beach WA 678 is a narrow 100 m long strip of high tide sand located in lee of Cowaramup Point. It is backed by 20 m high crumbling calcarenite bluffs, with a blufftop car park overlooking the beach. Intertidal rocks and boulders front the beach and shallow reefs extend out into the bay, resulting in low wave to calm conditions at the shore. Surfers use the beach to paddle out to Cowaramup’s South Point, a heavy lefthand point break.
