On the north side of Cape Mentelle the shoreline trends to the north-northeast for 1.5 km and contains three moderately protected beaches (WA 664-666). Beach WA 666 completes the string of beaches and is a curving 400 m long northwest-facing beach, tied to the boulders in the south and a low rocky northern point. It has 200 m of more open water in between permitting waves averaging 1-1.5 m to break across a central bar drained by rips to either end. The beach is backed by steep vegetated calcarenite bluffs rising to 50 m, with a rough winding 4 WD track reaching the beach from the north.
Beach Length: 0.4km
General Hazard Rating: 7/10
