Contis Beach (WA 649) is a relatively straight 1.6 km long west-southwest-facing beach exposed to waves averaging over 1.5 m, which maintain a 50-80 m wide bar. In addition beachrock outcrops along the centre of the beach and a few reefs lie off the southern and central sections, while it terminates at a sandy foreland tied to low slabs of granulite. The beach provides some good beach breaks and a heavy lefthand reef break. It is backed by steep, vegetated calcarenite bluffs rising to 100 m, with the vegetated calcarenite extending another 3-4 km inland. The Conto Road provides access to a car park at the top of the southern bluffs overlooking the beach as well as the granite shores of Cape Freycinet.
Beach Length: 1.6km
