Beach WA 745 occupies the next small 250 m wide bay between Point Dalling and Point Daking. The 250 m long beach runs along the shore of the low energy bay, with granite boulders bordering each end and a 100 m long clear section towards the centre of the beach. Houses back the beach, which usually has a few small boats pulled up on the shore. Both beaches are fronted by 100-200 m wide intertidal sand flats and scattered rocks, then a 100 m wide band of subtidal seagrass meadows and shallow sandy sea floor beyond. As a result the boats can only be launched at high tide when the sand flats are covered. Point Daking forms the end of the granite of the cape region and the beginning of the long sandy beaches of the Perth Basin, which extends 1000 km north to the Murchison River.
