Beach WA 686 continues on for 300 m further north, as a narrow sand beach between 50 m high calcarenite bluffs and the irregular 30-50 m wide platform. It terminates at a protruding section of bluffs, beyond which is beach WA 687, another 300 m long section of high tide beach wedged between the bluffs and platform. This section of bluffs and beach protrudes slightly seawards, and at its northern end the calcarenite retreats to expose 20 m high granulite cliffs
