Wilyabrup Beach (WA 688) is located across the mouth of Wilyabrup Creek. The 800 m long beach fills the steep-sided valley mouth, with granulite points bordering each end (Fig. 4.141). It faces west and is one of the few beaches free of reefs. Wave average over 1.5 m and break across a 100 m wide bar with permanent rips draining out against the rocks at either end of the beach. The beach is backed by an unstable foredune, elongate lagoon and dunes climbing the southern valley side. The 4 WD access track terminates on the southern side of the dunes while the Cape to Cape track descends off the southern bluffs and runs along the beach.
