The main beach (WA 512) extends west from the rocks for 900 m to a low granite point. It receives waves averaging about 2 m which maintain a 200 m wide surf zone usually dominated by two central beach rips, separated by detached bars, and a western permanent rip against the point. It is backed by initially scarped climbing, generally vegetated, longwalled parabolics, which extend up to 2 km inland with one central active parabolic extending 1 km to the northeast. The Conspicious Beach road reaches the western end of the beach where there is a small car park, picnic area, shelter and amenities, and a viewing platform with an excellent view of the entire beach. This is a relatively popular beach for surfing, however be aware of the strong rips. At the western end of Conspicious beach is a 1 km long southwest trending dune-capped granite headland, rising to 40 m. Three small beaches (WA 513-515) are located in pockets along its base.
Beach Length: 0.9km
General Hazard Rating: 8/10
