Beach WA 503 curves around the point for 400 m and is located between the base of the point and the platform. Waves break over the platform and reefs, resulting in generally low waves at the shore and a mixture of rocks and tidal pools at the base of the beach. Beaches WA 504 to 508 occupy the shoreline of a curving 1.3 km wide southeast-facing bay between Herring Rock and Rame Head, with numerous rock reefs scattered across the bay.
