Beach (WA 447) is the main beach at 1.8 km in length. It is also the highest energy with waves averaging about 2 m and breaking across a 200-300 m wide surf zone, which includes large beach rips as well as a central reef extending up to 500 m offshore. A 4 WD track reaches the top of the 50 m high vegetated bluffs in lee of the central reef, with foot access down to the beach. Five beach and reef-controlled rips dominate the surf and a mixture of beachrock reef and rocks are scattered along the beach and in the inner surf zone. It gradually narrows to the west terminating at a 200 m long section of rocky bluffs.
