Beach WA 449 lies 100 m to the west and is a 200 m long beach bordered by a long beachrock point to the east and low rounded granite to the west. The eastern beachrock also lies in the inner surf and some rocks outcrop on the centre of the beach. It receives waves averaging over 1.5 m, which break across a 200 m wide surf zone, with rips to either end. It is backed by a 20 m high foredune, then steep, vegetated bluffs rising to 40 m. It can be accessed from the neighbouring beach WA 450.
