Beach WA 451 is a curving 200 m long south-facing beach that is bounded by two 100 m wide granite reefs, both forming sandy forelands to their lee, with the beach linking the forelands. Wave enter a 100 m wide gap between the reefs and are lowered to about 1 m at the shore where they surge up a steep reflective to low tide terrace beach. This in backed by a steep 15 m high foredune, with the car park on the bluffs above the eastern end of the beach.
