Little Quarram Beach (WA 488) is a 500 m long, south-southwest-facing high energy beach, bordered by a dune-capped gneiss headland to the east and a small protruding gneiss bluff in the west, which separates it from beach WA 489 (Fig. 4.109). The beach is fronted by a 200 m wide surf zone with a strong permanent rip against the eastern headland and usually one central beach rip. It is backed by well vegetated dune-covered gneiss hills rising to 70 m. There is a 4 WD track to the eastern head and one running along the rear of the beach to reach beach WA 489.
