Beach WA 489 is a 50 m long pocket of sand wedged in between two gneiss points. It shares the surf zone with its larger neighbours and has one permanent rip existing along the western boundary rocks. A 200 m wide vegetated sloping gneiss headland separates it from the main Quarram Beach (WA 490).
