Beach WA 498 lies 300 m to the west and is a similar 150 m long narrow high tide beach, bordered by irregular rock platforms, with a 100 m wide surf zone in between. It is backed by vegetated older dunes. There is 4 WD access to both beaches. The Gap beaches occupy a 500 m wide south-facing embayment, located 2 km west of Point Irwin.
