Fishery Beach (WA 308) is a small beach located on the headland at the southern end of Back Beach. The 250 m long beach is bordered by sloping rocky points and faces north resulting in usually low wave to calm conditions that maintain a low energy reflective beach with seagrass growing close to shore. An attached 150 m long curving breakwater was constructed in the mid-1990’s to further protect the beach (Fig. 4.80). The breakwater includes a boat ramp and a jetty together with several boat moorings between the breakwater and beach.
