Beach WA 301 curves towards the southeast between Whalebone Point and Point Hood. The beach is 2.4 km long with low vegetated rocky slopes to either end. It faces northeast and receives low refracted waves around Point Hood. These maintain a continuous low tide bar, with seagrass lying 300 m offshore. The beach is backed by a low 200-300 m wide barrier, with a circular lake behind the centre of the beach. Vehicle tracks run along the barrier to a few fishing shacks located behind the centre and southern end of the beach. Beaches WA 302 and 303 are two small south-facing pockets of sand located on the southern side of Point Hood, directly south of Whalebone Point beach.
Beach Length: 2.4km
General Hazard Rating: 4/10
