The main beach (WA 536) extends for 400 m to the west where it is bordered by steep 100 m high vegetated cliffs, with a central active 20 m high foredune, in front of higher vegetated bluffs. It receives high waves, which break across a 200 m wide surf zone, with permanent rips to either end (Fig. 4.116). The eastern rip provides easy access to the righthand break that runs into the rip.
