Beach WA 539 commences on the western side of Cliffy Head and trends northwest for 800 m. The high tide sand beach is fronted by a continuous 50 m wide intertidal beachrock reef, with a few narrow elongate tidal pools between the reef and the beach. Waves averaging over 1.5 m break off and over the reef. Steep vegetated 100 m high calcarenite cliffs back the beach and some cliff debris litters the western end of the beach.
