Lost Beach (WA 523) is located at the western base of Point Nuyts and consists of a 250 m long pocket of sand wedged in at the base of the 120 m high slopes of the point and equally high backing and western slopes with cliff debris also littering the beach. The beach receives waves averaging up to 2 m, which break across a 200 m wide surf zone, with one permanent rip draining the system.. There is a vehicle track to the ridge above the beach, with steep walk down to the shore.
