The narrow cove is cut in steep granite slopes that rise to 140 m with a 50 m wide pocket of sand (beach WA 521) at its base. Waves break over reefs and rocks outside the entrance to the cove resulting in low waves at the shore, where they maintain a steep reflective beach, crossed by a small creek. A 4 WD track reaches the crest of the western ridge above the beach. The cove could be used to land a small boat once the entrance reefs are negotiated. Aldridge Cove is located 1 km to the west and is a similar small gap cut into the granite slopes that rise to 190 m in the west.
