Beach WA 553 extends west of the knoll for 750 m to a slightly protruding rock-littered section of calcarenite, surrounded by an intertidal reef. It is fronted by a 500 m wide surf zone, with the inlet channel running out the western side when open, and a strong permanent rip flowing out past the western reef (Fig. 4.118). The beach is backed by hummocky scarped calcarenite bluffs rising up to 60 m, with Sand Peak located 400 m inland. All the bluffs are backed by predominately well vegetated, longwalled parabolic dunes.
Beach Length: 1.2km
