Beach WA 557 is a crenulate 1.9 km long, narrow high tide beach, that runs along, between the base of 50-80 m high calcarenite cliffs, and an irregular, in places discontinuous beachrock platform, with scattered reefs offshore. Waves averaging 2 m break over the reefs and platform, with the water draining out through a number of gaps in both. A mixture of bare cliffs, cliff debris, steep vegetated slopes and one patch of foredune back the beach. A 4 WD track reaches the top of the bluffs towards the western end of the beach.
