Beaches WA 554, 555 and 556 are three hazardous pockets of sand located in gaps along the calcarenite headland that commences 2 km west of the inlet. Beach WA 554 is a 150 m long strip of high tide sand, backed by 20 m high bluffs and fronted by a 50 m wide intertidal beachrock platform, then irregular rocks and reefs, with waves breaking 80 m offshore. A 4 WD track reaches the bluffs above the beach, with a track down to the shore.
