Beach WA 578 is located in a small embayment on the northern side of a low point 200 m further north. It is a 300 m long beach consisting of a southern section located to the lee of a 50 m wide rock platform, while the northern half is open to the waves lowered to about 1.5 m by the southern point. The waves run up the steep beach face, with a permanent rip draining out of the small bay.
