Beach WA 567 commences on the western side of the Ledge Islet cuspate foreland and trends essentially due west for 5.5 km to the next cuspate foreland that forms the eastern boundary of Windy Harbour. The beach is fronted by 3-4 km of shallow nearshore including Sandy Island located 3 km to the south. Waves break on some of the outer reefs and average just over 1 m at the shore. They maintain a continuous shallow low tide terrace only cut by rips during higher wave conditions. It is backed by the foredune ridges, and a solitary creek, which crosses the western end of the beach.
