Beaches WA 573 and 574 occupy adjoining gaps in the calcarenite cliffs at the eastern end of Doggerup beach. Both beaches share an eastern extension of the main 300 m wide surf zone and are equally hazardous. Beach WA 573 is an 80 m long pocket of sand located at the base of the 100 m wide gap. High bluffs border the beach, which is backed by a sloping sand shute, which feeds a clifftop dune that has migrated up and over the 80 m high bluffs and 700 m inland. A permanent rip runs out along the eastern headland and through the wide surf zone.
Beach Length: 0.08km
General Hazard Rating: 10/10
