Beach WA 598 is located in a 200 wide embayment on the eastern side of Black Point. Wave break 300-400 m off the beach with much of the surf draining out a strong permanent rip against Black Point, as well as a skewed rip exiting the eastern end of the beach. The beach is backed by low narrow foredune, then 80 m high basalt cliffs capped by calcarenite and dunes. A walking track from the Black Point car park leads to a lookout above the beach, with a steep track down to the rocks at the western end of the beach. There is a righthand point beach between Black Point and the main rip.
