Beach WA 587 extends from the northern side of the calcarenite bluffs for 700 m to the Donnelly River mouth. The first 400 m are backed by 20 m high partly vegetated bluffs, then a low partly vegetated dynamic spit that forms the eastern side of the river. The river mouth may be deflected up to a few hundred metres to the east or west, which will influence the nature and length of the beach. The 500 m wide double bar system continues along the beach, with 1-2 inner beach rips and then the outer bar.
Beach Length: 0.7km
General Hazard Rating: 9/10
