Cosy Corner beach (WA 635) is located on the northern side of the 1 km wide embayment formed between Cape Hamelin and Knobby Head. The beach is relatively straight, 550 m long and faces southwest (Fig. 4.131). It is however protected by the numerous rocks and reefs off the cape including the eroded calcarenite of the Honeycomb Rocks, which lie south of the beach resulting in waves averaging less than 1 m. The waves break across a mixture of straight intertidal beachrock and a central and western sandy low tide terrace. It is backed by rising vegetated dunes, with the Cosy Corner gravel road terminating at a car park on the 40 m high western headland.
Beach Length: 0.55km
General Hazard Rating: 5/10
